Amber Portwood Pants On Fire: Fashion Fail
This installment of fashion fail is aimed at everybody?s favorite mom: Amber Portwood. This time, the troubled Teen Mom star was caught with the least fashionable pants of all?the kind that are on fire. According to TMZ, the troubled mom has allegedly caught herself in a pretty big lie. The rental company that she once rented from now says that she lied about how much money she made in 2010, which actually ruled her out as someone who would be allowed to rent there in the first place. Apparently, Portwood lived in subsidized housing despite making over $280,000! That?s enough for her nose to grow and for her designer jeans to become engulfed in flames. With the announcement that the Kindle Fire has grabbed 54.4% of the Android Tablet market, it's clear to see that Amazon's Trojan Horse strategy paid off. As I wrote back in December, the Fire is Amazon's way of making all of their offerings "real." Movies, books, and games were Amazon's core competency back when all of that stuff was on disks and on paper and that core competency is repurposed now for the Information Age. That's what all of the other Android tablet makers missed: people don't want general-purpose devices anymore or at least general-purpose devices in tablet form. E-Commerce ? The Future of Trade

The word e-commerce is the abbreviation of Electronic Commerce. It is also known as electronic marketing, and involves buying and selling of products and services through the means of an electronic system, such as, the Internet. In its simplest form, e-commerce performs the work of commerce electronically.
With the widespread use of the Internet, the amount of trade carried electronically has grown to substantial levels. E-commerce is usually the sales aspect of e-business. It also contains exchange of data, which helps facilitate the payment and financing ways of business transactions.
Segments of E-commerce
E-commerce is not constrained to limited groups. It can be among many groups and hence, there are not one or two types of e-commerce, but plenty of them, such as, Business-to-Business (B2B), Business to consumer (B2C), Peer-to-Peer (P2P), Consumer to consumer (C2C) and m-commerce.
1. Business-to-Business (B2B): This is one of the biggest forms of e-commerce, which has a business turnover of trillions of dollars. As the name itself indicates, in B2B, both the buyers as well as the sellers are business entities. It doesn?t include an individual consumer. In business to business, the manufacturer supplies goods to the wholesaler or to the retailer. For instance, say a leading computer giant sells computers and associated accessories on the Internet, but it doesn?t manufacture all the products. Hence, in order to sell these products, it first buys them from various other businesses such as the manufacturers.
2. Business to Consumer (B2C): It is a type of e-commerce, which involves businesses and consumers. It is one of the most common segments of e-commerce. As you can make out from the name, here, online services sell their products or services to individual consumers. In this segment, marketers and online retailers can sell their products or services to online consumers with the help of a transparent data made available to consumers by them through the means of different online marketing techniques. This segment of e-commerce has grown exponentially since the mid-90s.
3. Peer-to-Peer (P2P): It is more than a segment of e-commerce; it is a technology in its own sense. In Peer to peer, people can directly share computer resources and computer files sans any central web server. The only requisite is both the sides need to install the required software to communicate on the same fence. Because of its free usage ability, cyber laws have grappled it.
4. Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C): In this, the online transaction of goods and services takes place between two people. Though it does not contain any visible intermediary, parties cannot carry out a transaction without a base provided by some or other online marketer.
5. M-Commerce: In this segment, mobile devices are used to conduct transactions. The mobile device holders contact each other and carry out their business transactions.
Apart from these, there are also various other segments of e-commerce such as Government to Business (G2B), Government to Citizen (G2C) and Business to Employee (B2E). However, all of these are almost very much similar to the above-mentioned segments in functioning.
Advantages of E-commerce
E-commerce provides huge advantages to business entities as well as consumers. Some of them are as follows:
Ability to do business 24?7 and 365 days a year: The systems of e-commerce operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. People can log on to Internet at any point in time, and buy and sell anything just by a click of mouse. Hence, it provides tremendous exposure to any business.
Tap the world market: Internet is used globally, and hence, it is possible to do business with any person or business that has access to Internet. Through e-commerce, even small local businesses can market and sell their products at an international level.
Chance for reducing costs: The Internet has made shopping of products and services easier and cheaper. Through online research, people can recognize the original manufacturers of some of the goods, and can bypass wholesalers and obtain goods at a much lower price. As far as businesses are concerned, e-commerce helps business entities to reduce their costs related to processing, marketing, information, customer care, inventory management and others.
Limitations of E-Commerce
E-commerce also has its own inherent and technological limitations. Due to these limitations, many people still doubt the credibility of e-commerce and hence, refrain themselves from using this system which has revolutionized the way businesses are carried out. These include lack of security, delay in reaching of goods, troublesome and tedious refunding processes and so on.
However, considering the advantages of e-commerce, it has the potential to score over its limitations. As technology is an ever evolving process, there is no doubt that e-commerce is going to evolve itself for the better in the near future, and will offer even more benefits than it currently provides to both, business entities as well as consumers.

LONDON (AP) ? Britain's Olympic chief fears the London Games could be marred by a protest like the one that disrupted the Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge on the River Thames.
Trenton Oldfield jumped into the water and appeared to deliberately cross the path of the rowers halfway through the competition Saturday in a protest against elitism and privilege. He was arrested and later charged with a public order offense.
With less than four months until the Olympics, the Boat Race highlighted concerns about athlete safety at events where the public will line the route, including the rowing, open water swimming, marathon and road cycling.
"It just takes, and is likely to be, one idiot," British Olympic Association chairman Colin Moynihan said Sunday. "It's not likely to be a well-orchestrated campaign through Twitter or websites. It is likely to be someone similar to the idiot yesterday who causes major disruption.
"That is why all the security measures need to be put in place to minimize the chance of that happening. You can never completely remove it, but you can do everything possible to protect the interests of the athletes by minimizing it."
The British government reiterated that message to the public and athletes.
"We are working to a robust and comprehensive safety and security strategy," the Home Office said. "We want to reassure everyone that we will leave nothing to chance in our aim to deliver a games that London, the U.K. and the whole world will enjoy."
Moynihan, who sits on the board of the London Olympics organizing committee, said that "every conceivable scenario" is being assessed.
"Both the police and security operations around all venues and athletes are being reviewed on a day-by-day basis," he told the BBC.
There was a fan intrusion during the marathon at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Vanderlei de Lima of Brazil was leading when shoved off the course by spectator Cornelius Horan, an Irish priest who was later defrocked. De Lima eventually finished third.
Moynihan said that unless events were sanitized by removing all crowds, the threat of a protest will never be removed.
But the former Olympic rowing silver medalist stressed that security operations for the games are not just focused on the July 27-Aug. 12 London Games.
"You are talking about the pre-games training camps ? these athletes will come well in advance and be based around the country," Moynihan said. "You've got the torch relay coming up, you've got the live sites and the public needs to be protected."

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in China, where he will meet with top officials to forge closer economic and political ties.
In Turkey's first prime ministerial visit to China in 27 years, Mr. Erdogan meets in Beijing Monday with President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and Vice President Xi Jinping.
Turkey's Minister of Energy Taner Yildiz says the government will decide during Mr. Erdogan's visit whether China will be invited to build a nuclear power plant on the Black Sea coast. The two sides are set to finalize building talks during the visit.
Before traveling to Beijing, Mr. Erdogan heading a delegation of 300 businessmen visited China's far west Xinjiang region Sunday. The restive area is home to China's minority ethnic Uighurs, who are ethnically related to Turks. Turkey wants to establish an industrial zone in Xinjiang.
Mr. Erdogan will conclude his visit in Shanghai.

Iran holds firm on nuclear 'rights' as talks loom
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) ? When talks between Iran and world powers collapsed last year, Tehran quickly blamed the West for trying to trample its "nuclear rights." The Iranian line appears little changed ? signaling that critical negotiations could begin this week where the impasse left off.
But Iranian officials also display a hint of confidence going into Friday's talks. They believe Tehran may have beaten back the toughest Western demands for a complete halt to uranium enrichment ? the key issue of the standoff ? and some bargaining room could open for new proposals.
"They have not gained anything through confrontation with Iran," said Alaeddin Boroujerdi, head of the Iranian parliament's influential committee on national security and foreign policy.
His message Saturday reflected the challenges of finding a new tone for dialogue with much on the line, including Israel's threats of possible military action, allegations of covert attacks that have killed Iranian scientists and targeted Israeli officials, and Western sanctions that have taken aim at Iran's key oil exports and helped drive inflation past 21 percent.
Iranian envoys in Istanbul will face a cross-section of its foes and allies: the five permanent Security Council members plus Germany. The maneuvering has already begun, with various policy probes, trial balloons and a flap over the venue that was only resolved Sunday with Iran agreeing to return to Turkey for negotiations.
Yet neither side seems willing ? in public declarations, at least ? to budge too far from the positions that undercut the last round of talks 14 months ago.
Iran insists it will never surrender the ability to enrich uranium, which allows Tehran to make its own nuclear fuel and is a cornerstone of what the Islamist Republic's leaders call patriotic efforts toward technological self-sufficiency.
"The nuclear industry is like a locomotive that can push ahead other industries such as the space industry that takes up tens of other industries with itself," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday, according to the official IRNA news agency. "This is the same clear path we must continue."
The U.S. and Western allies may demand that Iran agree to close and dismantle a new enrichment lab built into a mountainside bunker south of Tehran and transfer stockpiles of its most high-grade uranium out of Iran, The New York Times first reported, citing U.S. and European diplomats.
No issue looms larger than uranium enrichment, which Iran is permitted to do under a U.N. treaty overseeing nuclear advances. The U.S. and others fear the labs could be used to make weapons-grade material. Iran says it nuclear program is only for energy and medical research.
"Without some new ideas or proposals on the table, it's hard to imagine the talks finding some kind of breakthrough," said Shadi Hamid, director of research at the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar.
But there have been some tiny cracks in the wall of distrust between Washington and Tehran that could at least offer some toeholds in the talks.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei gave a rare nod of approval last month toward U.S. President Barack Obama's assertion that there is still room for diplomacy. Washington now says they want to hear further details about Khamenei's pledge that Iran would never seek nuclear arms.
"Diplomacy has not reached a deadlock," said Iranian lawmaker Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh, a conservative member of parliament's foreign policy and national security committee.
However, he echoed the common stance among Iranian officials that Western demands to halt uranium enrichment are a dead end.
What could get traction ? suggested the hardline newspaper Kayhan ? is a so-called "enrichment level stabilization." That means halting the 20 percent enrichment, the highest level acknowledged by Iran, and continuing with lower levels of about 3.5 percent needed for ordinary reactors.
The 20 percent material, which is used for medical isotopes for cancer treatments and other research, is several steps closer to the more than 90 percent level needed for a nuclear warhead.
"Americans have always made big demands and then retreated step by step as they saw that it's not possible to achieve them," Kayhan wrote in an editorial Sunday.
Mehdi Sanaei, a moderate lawmaker, said a possible bargaining position could be an agreement to temporarily stop 20 percent enrichment in exchange for lifting some economic sanctions.
Iran's Central Bank said the official inflation rate nearly doubled over the past year to 21.5 percent in urban areas as the economy is battered by sanctions, rising prices and a slumping national currency. Some analysts believe the actual inflation figures are higher and say unemployment is well over the official report of nearly 12 percent.
This would appear to give added leverage to Western envoys in the talks. But it also gives Iran some opportunities to "create trust," said Sanaei, by scaling back on enrichment for some economic easing.
"There are indications a deal is possible because (world powers) have reached the conclusion that they need to recognize Iran's nuclear rights and continuation of uranium enrichment in Iran," he added.
Even Israel's defense minister appeared to focus on the 20 percent enriched uranium as a key goal of the talks. Ehud Barak told CNN on Sunday that Iran should ship all of its uranium enriched at the 20 percent level to a "trusted" neighboring country. Anything short of that would "be a total change of direction for the worse," he said.

Inspiration + Action = Creation: Understanding without judgment
Today's cards: The Hierophant, the Four of Rods, The Lovers. Wow, if I weren't married, I'd be thinking someone is about to propose to me. :) Seriously, the Lovers is about partnership (and of course, sex and sexuality, but really more about partnership). Meet your partners halfway today. Celebrate with them. This doesn't have to be romantic partners, either. It can be work partners, organization partners, whatever. Today is a day to work in community. We can learn a lot from seeing other people's perspectives.
The Four of Rods is the wedding bower, sure, but it's also about leaving unhappiness behind and celebrating the now. These two cards together give us a unique opportunity to evolve into the next step. And they bring us to The Hierophant. This card speaks of the evolution of our systems of belief (oh and education, so if you're school, pay particularly close attention today.
